Artistic Installation For Public Library Eugenio Trias In Retiro, Madrid

The concept is in relation to the library and its surroundings. The intention was to make aware the importance of good use of paper and the joy of reading.

The piece started on the ceiling of the entrance of the building. Where tree roots made from recycled newspaper hung. On the first floor on a terrace, a small tree was situated in the centre. Made from a pruned branch and from each of the little branches a page from a recycled book resembling reading flowers. Surrounded on the ground around the tree leaves cut out from newspaper and varnished.
