I have been experimenting by painting around the cracks with white acrylic paint to make the positive view of the crack stand out.
I am beginning to question what I’m doing, so I have gone back to my research, and I stand back and view the bigger picture of life and how this is related. Life itself is full of cracks, cracks that we fix or patch up and continue forward. The idea of Wabi Sabi and the beauty of imperfections, concentrating on the acceptance of transience and blemishes caused by external causes such as change and decay following the natural cycle of life. How can I express this idea through my work? I have the first building block, the cracks, now to fix them aesthetically. Food for thought!
