cont/...

Many of my more substantial attempts at the plaster cracks, unfortunately (or not) cracked, and one in particular broken along the crack! First I was overcome by frustration and just left the pieces laying there. After a while, I went back and thought of my photos of cracks with nature filling them and how the street space is shared with nature. I decided to grow my own grass and lay this crack on it allowing nature to take its place.

Leading on from here, I printed a crack on some plaster that was difficult to see, so I decided to paint it. My initial thought was to paint it in a gold colour taking on board the Japanese technic of fixing Kintsugi but by using an emerald colour, green tone describing nature and emerald as a precious stone.
